Stadt im Gebiet Irkutsk, Russland, am Bratsker Stausee der Angara, 259 400 Einwohner; internationale Messe; Bratsk bildet mit Ust-Ilimsk einen Industrieschwerpunkt in Ostsibirien; Wasserkraftwerk, Aluminium-, Holzverarbeitungswerk (Zellstoff, Papier, Möbel); Hafen am Bratsker Stausee.
 
 
Bratsk entstand 1955 mit dem Bau des Stausees. Das alte Bratsk, nach der Gründung eines Gefängnisses (1631) entstanden, ist heute überflutet.
